Klunkerz Series
This will be a members only series taking us back to the old days of mountain biking. The series will start with a social event viewing the movie on Sep 12 6pm at the South Trail Head. The following Tuesday (Sep 19) everyone will show up at the North Trail Head with a 26″ rigid (find on facebook marketplace) bike to pedal up as a group and race back down the mountain. The week after that we’ll meet at the Archery Range parking lot to pedal up Camp Tranquility Road and do the same thing.
Bike A Thon
BUMP will be tapping into our endurance skills for our first ever Bike A Thon! We wanted to take an opportunity to raise money for The Alheimer’s Association while bringing exposure to our beloved trails and sport. The event will take place Oct 7th 2023, from 8am to 5pm at Oak Mountain State Park rain or shine. Participants will complete a 17.6 mile loop around the Red Trail at Oak Mountain as many times as they can.
Each rider needs to find a sponsor. This sponsor can be a local business, family, friends, etc. Those sponsors register and donate via rallyup, where they can payout per lap, or lump sum. For every $200 each participant raises they’ll be entered into a drawing for some cool prizes from Industry Nine. Participants will track their ride on a ride-tracking app of their choice and present them to event officials when they throw in the towel. Results will be posted to Rallyup and the sponsor donations will be automatically drafted from their provided account.
All profits from the Bike A Thon will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. BUMP will be making their famous grilled cheese sandwiches while our normal party crowd is stationed at the pavilion to support and cheer on participants. Please sign up at the link below and begin finding sponsors to help us support this incredible cause. Register or Sponsor
Ladies Level 1 Bike Clinic
Due to the success of the Ladies Beginners Clinic we’ve decided to put on an all day full level one clinic just for ladies Nov 11th. Erin will be coming back to handle the training. This clinic will be limited to 20 participants at a cost of $60. You can reserve your spot here.

Bikes and Helmets will NOT be provided for this event.
Arrive at 8:30 to check in, sign waivers, create name plates, and get ready to go! Instruction starts at 9:00 in the field across from the South parking lot trailhead.
We will be covering the basics: gear requirements, checking your bike before a ride, shifting, braking, body/bike positioning, cornering, and more in the morning before heading out to practice your new skills on appropriate trails in the afternoon!
Lunch will be provided, but please bring plenty of water (either a water bottle mounted to your bike in a cage, or a hydration pack), and SNACKS to get through the day! These are long, full days of instruction and you’ll want to have plenty of energy!
It is preferred that clinic participants should be in flat pedals (not clipped in) and all participants must wear a helmet. Cycling gloves and protective eyewear (sunglasses) are encouraged.
Kids Bike Olympics
This will be a members only skills battle for grown ups on tiny bicycles. Contestants will be competing in a variety of spectator friendly mountain bike skills competitions on bikes that are way to small for them. Competition will begin Sunday Afternoon at 2 Nov 5. Bikes will be limited to 16″ wheels and smaller.
