The ProXCT rolls into town this weekend for what will be a very interesting weekend of racing at Oak Mountain State Park. The Triple Crown East will be kicking off with many battles to see who really is the best all around rider this side of the Mississippi River. Friday starts things off with the high flying arials of the Air Downhill at 5PM along Lightning. Cahaba Cycles is hosting a Beer, Brats & Bikes event where you can pick up your packet, hang out, eat, get any last minute stuff and may be win something. Saturday we’ll have the short track start at 11:30. Pros and Cat 1 will be racing together this year on a much faster course. The Super D will kickoff at 3:30 and feature some screaming speeds down the newly renovated Quarry Road. Sunday is the big race. Cat 2 and Cat 3 racers will start at 8am. Cat 1 and Pros will start at 11AM. The Pro field will be featuring some of the biggest names in the US. Olympian Todd Wells will be attempting to maintain his lead in the ProXCT standings fending off the speedy Jeremiah Bishop. Ryan Woodall will be back to defend his title. Hawaiian endurance legend Pua Mata and Erica Tingey will be among the talented group of women pro racers battling for supremacy of Oak Mountain.
The weather is looking fantastic and this should be a great weekend to be out watching some of the elite racers in the nation duke it out for the Bump N Grind XIX crown!
